Cat Care: How to Take Care of a Himalayan Cat
One of the most popular kind of cat is the Himalayan cat. So when you decide to adopt or buy a Himalayan cat, you should also know the proper cat care. Himalayan cats are known for their pushed in nose and they have really long coat. As an owner, you should regularly have your cat checked by a vet for parasites and ailments. Putting them also in a nutritional diet will help prevent diseases as they grow old. Also, maintaining a clean litter will prevent parasites from living in your cat, externally and internally.
Since Himalayan cats have a long coat the proper cat care for this one is to regularly brush it. There may also be hair growth near the eyes of the Himalayan cat because of the nose being too near the eyes so brush the hair away from the cat’s eyes. Also, use a wash cloth to clean the area around the eyes of the cat especially when they just woke up.
Cats can be very sensitive at times and can easily acquire other ailments or parasites from other cats. So make sure that you do not let your cat play with stray cats or if you have another cat and sick, make sure to isolate him. Cats affected with cold can easily affect other cats, so at the first sign of cold take your cat immediately to the vet clinic. Sometimes simple cat illness can lead to serious ones.
